Box Score Salem, W.Va.— The Bluefield State Men's Basketball team lost 77-103 to Salem International University this afternoon in Salem, W.Va.

In the first half, the Big Blues took a 6 point lead in the first three minutes of the game, but didn't hold it for very long as the Tigers took the their second lead of the game 15-14 just under 14 minutes on the clock.
The Tigers pushed their lead to 10 points with 4 minutes left on the clock, 42-32 and by the end of the half, had a 19 point advantage, 56-37.
In the second half, the Tigers continued to build on their lead and pushed it to 30 points near the end of the game. The Big Blues couldn't make a significant dent into the deficit and lost 77-103.
The Big Blues shot 39.1% from the field, 25% from three, and 73.3% from the free-throw line. The Big Blues forced 32 turnovers, but committed 28 of their own. The Tigers were on fire offensively shooting 64.8% from the field, 42.9% from three, and 73.2% from the free-throw line.
Freshman Chas Harvey had 19 points on 5-for-9 from the field and 8-for-10 from free-throws, and 1 steal. Senior Mark Durgan had 18 points, 2 steals, and 1 rebound. Junior Julian Hernandez (pictured) had 13 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds off the bench. Senior Avery Holliday had 11 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.
The Big Blues go back up to Salem, W.Va. next week, Dec. 11-12, to play in the Joe Manchin Classic.
