Bluefield, WV- Senior day saw the Big Blues put on an offensive clinic for their game against the Salem International Tigers. If you like defense, this was not the game for you. BSC was firing on all cylinders as they put up 129 points in the game. The Tigers were not short on offense scoring 110 on the night.

Right from the beginning the Big Blues set the tone early by jumping out to a 12-6 lead. The seniors for the Big Blues were on a show case as they were the sparks that helped the team jump out to such a lead. Mark Durgan just would not miss in the first half going 12-16 with 33 points. Avery Holliday and Derrek Farr were also major factors as they combined for 20 points in the half. Everything was going their way as the Big Blues just kept scoring. Even Salem International was making shots as they ended up with 56 points for the half. But the spot light was on the Big Blues as the team shot 63% from the field and 53% from downtown. When the crazy first half was over the Big Blues took a 75-56 lead into the locker room.

Now the Big Blues have taken leads into half similar to this one but today was different. Today the seniors continued to shine throughout the game. Mark Durgan came out and picked up right where he left off in the first half. His shooting allowed the team to break 100 with just under 12:00 minutes to go in the game. With 10:00 minutes left in the half the score was 103-81. At this point, you could tell the wind was out of the sails of the Tigers. Mark and the rest of the Blues kept scoring and the game ended 129-110.

Mark Durgan ended his night with 56 points, by far his season high. He also added 9 assists and 2 steals. Avery Holliday also had a fantastic night scoring 23 and grabbing 9 boards. Derrek Farr also had 9 boards and 16 points for the night.
