Ladies Come Up Short In Rematch with AB

Bluefield, WV- The Big Blues are in the final stretch of their season and took on Alderson-Broaddus in the Ned Shott Gymnasium. This was a rematch from earlier in the season where the Big Blues lost 67-44 to the Battlers on the road. BSC was able to keep things close in the first half but ultimately lost 66-44 tonight.

The Battlers leading scorer was Ta'Sharra Jeffries who came off the bench in the game. Jeffries went 7-16 and scored 19 points. Jordan Parker, who was the leading scorer the first time these two teams met had another solid outing ending her day with a double-double scoring 13 points and having 10 rebounds.

Tanasia Blake who had 13 points and 16 rebounds led Bluefield State. Blake was also a menace defensively having 7 of Bluefield State's 11 steals. Bria Gates also got on a roll during the game scoring 10 points, her season high. Lyndsey Hatfield had another solid performance, securing 11 rebounds and falling 2 points shy of a double-double.

The Big Blues have a week off to rest and get health before they take on West Virginia Tech on Valentine's Day. Big Blue fan's be sure and bring your Valentine out to the game and cheer on the Big Blues as they only have 3 home games left this season. Tip off on the 14th will be at 6:00 pm.
