Box Score FRANKFORT, Kentucky - The Bluefield State women's basketball team captured their second road win against Kentucky State University Saturday afternoon at Exum Center, 72-58. The Big Blue improves to 3-10, while the Thorobreds drop to 1-4.
Friday afternoon, The Big Blue came out strong against the Thorobreds and took a 17 point lead into the half, 37-20. All while having 18 turnovers total, the Thorobreds couldn't take advantage of those turnovers. Coming out in the second half, the Big Blue continued to work their offense and to put away game number three against the Thorobreds.
The Big Blue dominated on offense this afternoon, with multiple players in double figures. Led by Derricka Bramwell with 15 points. Followed by Senior Ameera McClain with 14 points. Katrina Davis worked tirelessly on both sides of the ball this afternoon, capturing 12 points and eight rebounds. Wrapping up the Big Blue in double figures was Alexus Tucker and Dani Janutolo who both had 11 points.
The Big Blue couldn't quite stop leading scorer Sarah Woghiren. Woghiren carried her team this afternoon with 23 points. Followed by her teammate Khaliah Hebert with 11 points.

The season will continue Friday, February 19 at home against Southen Virginia. The Big Blue will face the Knights at Ned E. Shott Gym at 7:00 p.m.
