In Midfield Ava J-K, Marlena Mayer, and ever-present Nevaeh Zabel got the nod. Upfront Elenor Humpfrey, Taylor Papa, and top goal scorer Shannon Henson.
Shannon Henson and Kennedy Munoz started things off for the Big Blue scoring the first two goals in the first half. After picking up two assists in the past two games, Rachel Major grabbed her first goal Saturday morning in the second half off a penalty kick.
"Despite the heat, several unexpected injuries, and the challenges of our first ever road trip, the girls over-came all. We are glad to be heading back to West Virginia with the win," said head coach Forster.
"We worked on some new defensive principals as a team this week, and it was great to see the hard work give results."
Saturday morning's game against the Wasps marked the final exhibition for the Big Blue. The women's soccer team finished the pre-season off 3-0.
