"Today we competed against the Back-To-Back Conference Carolinas champions. We didn't win the game but we got better," said Head Coach Scott Forster.
"It's been a rough week with a cold running through the team limiting our prep and reducing the number of minutes for many of our players. Combining that with UMO being a senior-heavy team, it was always going to be a challenge. This is part of the learning curve for a new program and we look forward to seeing them again."
The Trojans grabbed their first three goals in the first half. Emily Hein snagged the first goal early at the 6-minute mark assisted by Nya Baccelli.
Jasmine Pinter got the second goal at the 26-minute mark assisted by Shaulee Govia. Samantha Hamrick finished it off in the first half for the Trojans by getting one in at the 32-minute mark assisted again by Hamrick.
Abigail Crawford took over in the second half collecting the final three goals for the Trojans. No help was a need for Crawford as all three goals were unassisted.
