SALISBURY, North Carolina — The Bluefield State women's basketball team lost a tough one on the road to Livingstone College, 65-50. 

Londen Coleman led the Big Blue off the bench with a double-double. Scoring 12 points on 4-12 shooting, and grabbed 12 rebounds in 37 minutes. 

Alexus Tucker also had 12 points on 2-7 shooting in 27 minutes.

Autumn Spangler followed with 11 points on 3-8 shooting. Spangler added five rebounds in 28 minutes. 

Overall, the team shot 14-50 for 28.0%.

They were 6-18 for 33.3% from the three-point line.

And 16-30 for 53.3% from the free-throw line.

The Big Blue found themselves down early. After a miscommunication with the scorebook, the Big Blue received two technical fouls to start the game. The Big Blue took the lead at the six-minute mark, 7-6, and the Bears could never get it back. The first quarter belonged to the Big Blue, 23-12. 

The second quarter was an ongoing battle for the lead. Katrina Davis drained a three from the corner to tie it up right before the half, 32-32. 

The Big Blue never saw a lead in the third quarter. The Bears extended their lead to 13 points just before the two-minute mark. The Big Blue cut down the lead to seven to end the quarter with a layup by Dani Janutolo. 

At the start of the first quarter, both teams remained scoreless. Londen Coleman drew the foul to send her to the line for two. Making both, Coleman cut the Bears lead down to five with 6:48 to go. 

The Big Blue worked to cut the lead but never could regain the lead over the Bears.
