Bluefield, WV - Bluefield State University women's basketball win back-to-back after a 90-65 victory over Washington Adventist at Ned E. Shott Gymnasium.
After a slow start for the Big Blue, a midrange jumper from Gabrielle Thomas with three minutes left in the first half, put the Big Blue at a double-digit lead for the first time. The Big Blue scored the last ten points of the first to go into the half with the 44-29 lead over the Shock.
Coming out of the half, the Big Blue outscored the shock 21-13 in the third quarter. The Big Blue had their largest lead of the night at 27 after a trip to the line by Dani Janutolo.
Rori Cox led all scorers with 16 points and the team lead in rebounds of five. Â Azariah Binford followed with 14 points and Janutolo with 12.
