BRISTOL, Tennessee - The Big Blue women captured their first win in a midweek matchup against King University at King tennis courts, 6-1.
The Big Blue dominated in doubles with
Shreya Chakrabarly and
Juliana Jimenez playing well together and clinching the win, (6-1).
Ghita Courdi and
Virginia Zanotti end doubles play winning court 2, (6-3).
Paula Saez and
Victoria Cabral won by default with a no-show by King on court 3.
In singles play,
Shreya Chakrabarly swept in the number one spot (6-1), (6-3) against Deniz Aytun.
Virginia Zanotti fell in the number two sport (6-3), (7-5) against Mishka Koricinova.
Juliana Jimenez grabbed the second win in the number 3 spot (6-2, 6-0) extending the Big Blue lead.
Ghita Courdi added to the Big Blue lead with a win over Lauren Smorgonsky, (6-3), (6-3).
Paula Saez secured the Big Blue win defeating Marilyn Roustand, (6-3), (6-4).
