RICHMOND, Virginia -- The Bluefield State men's basketball team ended their season with a win over Bryant and Stattron Syracuse College at Richard Bland College, 111-80.
The Big Blue came out on a 5-0 run against the Bobcats.
Jordan Hinds put in the first two with a layup in the paint, followed by a three-pointer, 5-0.Â

The Bobcats tied it at 21 at the 12-minute mark with a jumper by Jameel Abdallah. Kenneth Richard committed a foul to send Khamaury McMillian to the line for two.Â
The Big Blue quickly took back the lead with two good free throws by McMillian. Cheikh Dieng added two for the Bobcats with a layup and tied the game up once again.Â
Desmond Freeman put the Big Blue up again with a good layup in the paint. The Bobcats took their first lead of the game at the 9-minute with a layup by Teequan Holly, 27-26.Â
Hinds quickly gave the Big Blue back the lead with a layup in the paint. Holly went down and put up a jumper and the Bobcats regained the lead.Â
Landry Palata put up a layup inside the paint to give the Big Blue back the lead at the 8-minute mark. The Big Blue went into halftime up by 12 with a last-minute dunk by
Marquez Cooper.Â
The Big Blue started the second half adding to their score with a three-pointer by
Hirotaka Ohashi, 54-39. The Big Blue went up by 20 at the 14-minute mark with 1/2 made free throws, 68-48.
The Big Blue took a 30-point lead at the 6-minute mark with a layup by McMillian, 91-61. The Big Blue never let up against the Bobcats and ended the game with a 31 point lead.Â
Marquez Cooper led with his second consecutive double-double of the tournament. Cooper had 24 points on 10-19 shooting and added 10 rebounds in 27 minutes.Â
Desmond Freeman followed with 20 points on 6-14. Freeman added six assists in 23 minutes.Â
Jordan Hinds added 13 points on 6-13 shooting.Â
Khamaury McMillian added 12 points, three rebounds, and three assists.Â
Kesean Robinson was shy of a double-double by two rebounds. Robinson had 11 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.Â
Landry Palata missed his own double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds in 13 minutes.Â
Overall, the team shot 45-111 for 40.5%.Â
They were 9-17 for 24.3% from the three-point line.
The team was also 12 of 19 on free throws.
The Bobcats outrebounded the Big Blue 63-57.
