Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University Soccer secured the victory over Virginia State 4-2 on Senior Day.

After honoring seniors Marlena Meyer, Mackenzie Merrill, Nicole Davis and Kira Zoeller the Big Blue quickly got to work with a goal by Ava Jakich-Kunze in the first minute of the match. The Big Blue extended their lead after Jakich-Kunze found Carmen Galante to go up 2-0. The Trojans pulled within one after a penalty kick goal in the 29^th minute.

The Trojans tied it up in the 60^th minute, but Jakich-Kunze gave the lead back to the Big Blue with her second goal of the night in the 73^rd minute. Jakich-Kunze completed the hat trick with the final goal of the afternoon in the 82^nd minute to seal the 4-2 win for the Big Blue.
