Newark, DE – Azariah Binford and Alexyss Newman secured a double-double in women's basketball 64-36 victory over Wilmington University (Del.), 64-36.
Wilmington jumped out to a five-point lead, but did not score through the rest of the first. The Big Blue closed out the first with a 10-0 run to take the 10-5 into the second quarter.
Wilmington outscored the Big Blue in the second quarter 16-7 to take the 21-17 lead into the half.
The Big Blue defense only allowed 12 points in the third and three points in the fourth for Wilmington.
The Big Blue scored 24 points in the third and 23 points in the fourth to secure the 64-36 win over Wilmington.
Alexyss Newman led the Big Blue with 31 points, 11 rebounds and six steals. Azariah Binford added 10 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds and six steals on the night.
