Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University men's and women's basketball will host Livingstone College on Saturday, December 8th at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
MBB look to bounce back from their first conference loss against Winston-Salem, 82-71. The Big Blue come in at 3-7 (0-1 CIAA), and Livingstone come in at 2-5 (0-0 CIAA) on a two-game win streak. The Big Blue were led in the last game by Ja'Mere Redus with 19 and Jordan Hinds with 18 points and eight rebounds.
This matchup will be the start of conference play for women's basketball. The Big Blue come in 6-1 on the year with Livingstone coming in at 1-1. The Big Blue is led by Alexyss Newman, averaging 19 points and 7.7 rebounds. In their last matchup, the Big Blue held off Washington Adventist 67-66. Newman led all scorers with 19 followed by Shalance Montoya with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
