Manheim, PA – Bluefield State University wrestler Caleb Fritz made history, becoming the first Academic All-American in Bluefield State wrestling history.
In order to qualify for the Division II Scholar All-American Team, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 with a benchmark of 3.25 for those who qualified for the 2023 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships and a 3.0 for those who were All-Americans at the 2023 Nationals. Wrestlers must have competed in four dates of competition.
Caleb's major is Applied Science with an Interdisciplinary Concentration.
Caleb also made history earlier in the year in February, becoming one of the first regional placers in the program's history after a sixth-place finish at the Super Region III tournament.
