Montgomery, AL – Bluefield State University baseball dropped the winners bracket semifinals game against Albany State 12-2.
The Big Blue got on the board in the first after a lead off single from Tahir Meulens and a left field homerun from Jordan Varela-Payne.
The Rams put up seven runs in the second to take the lead. The Rams sealed the deal with three runs in the fourth and two in the fifth.
Zach Powell took the loss for the Big Blue lasting 1.2 innings allowing three hits, seven runs and striking out one.
Zane Eggleston had a strong relief appearance for the Big Blue, throwing 1.2 innings allowing zero hits, zero runs and two strike outs.
