Columbia, SC – Bluefield State University women's soccer began their season with a shutout road game victory over Allen University.
Four Big Blue combined for the 4-0 victory over Allen. In the first half, Estelle Huc found Marit Blom to score the first goal ten minutes into the match. The Big Blue added another in the 23rd minute from Ava Jakich-Kunze, assisted by Birta Osk Sigurjons.
The Big Blue pulled away in the second half with a goal from Sayen Santana in the 54th minute and Martina Cardemil in the 81st.
Goalkeeper Rylee Truslow collected three saves on the day.
"Getting a win on the road is always tough, and today it's a credit to the team working hard," said head coach Scott Forster. "Allen Provided a great challenge, and I'm very proud we rose to it."
