The Bears opened play with the first four point of the matchup. The Big Blue took their first lead of the night midway through the quarter after a fast break jumper from Jasmine Jenkins, 11-10. A bucket from Jenkins sparked a seven-point run to pull within two of the Bears. The Bears extended their lead to seven with 18 seconds left in the quarter, but a bucket by Tianna Rhodes cut the lead to seven going into the second quarter. The Bears outscored the Big Blue in the second quarter 13-10 to take the 41-31 lead over the Big Blue into the half.
A trip to the line for Caiyah Smith pulled the Big Blue within seven with just under five minutes to go in the third. The Bears closed out the third with back-to-back layups to take the 60-44 lead over the Big Blue into the final quarter. The Bears would go on to score 22 points in the fourth with the Big Blue scoring eight to take the 82-52 victory over the Big Blue.
Jenkins led the Big Blue with 15 points with Rhodes adding 12. Jayla Sample led the Big Blue with nine rebounds, but the Bears answered with three consecutive threes to take back the lead 19-11.
