Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University women's basketball snapped a four-game losing streak after a 91-64 victory over Virginia University of Lynchburg. The Big Blue move to 7-6 (0-4 CIAA) on the year.
The Big Blue wasted no time establishing dominance, jumping out to a 31-10 lead in the first quarter. The Big Blue capitalized on turnovers, converting them into 45 points. The Big Blue bench-maintained momentum, outscoring the Dragons reserves 37-31.
Jayla Sample led the Big Blue with 17 points, five rebounds and three assists followed by Jasmine Jenkins with 12 points and six rebounds. Azariah Binford and Azahreya Drayton-Gill came away with 10 points each.
