Dunbar, WV – Bluefield State University men's basketball fell on the road at West Virginia State 65-60 on Saturday. The Big Blue move to 1-6 on the year.
The Big Blue opened strong, taking a 29-26 lead into halftime, holding the Yellow Jackets to 9-of-30 shooting in the opening period. The Big Blue knocked down three threes and controlled the glass to build their early advantage. The Yellow jackets responded in the second half, outscoring the Big Blue 39-31 in the second, to take the 65-60 victory.
Myles Pierre led the Big Blue with 21 points while adding five rebounds. Ellija Preddy followed with 13 points, five assists and three steals. Anthony Latty led all players with 10 rebounds on the night.
