Orangeburg, SC – Paige Whittington and Lexi Shadowens were each named to the All-CIAA First Team, announced on Wednesday by the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
Paige Whittington was named the All-CIAA first team for both outfield and utility player for the 2025 season. Whittington leads the Big Blue with a .394 avg with 56 hits including seven doubles, six triples and one homerun with 22 RBIs. On the bases, Whittington has only been caught stealing once and collected 42 stolen bases. Serving as the centerfielder for the Big Blue, Whittington has only three errors with a .964 fielding percentage.
Lexi Shadowens earned All-CIAA First Team Catcher. Shadowens leads the Big Blue with 29 RBIs. Shadowens has collected 48 hits on the season with nine doubles, one triple and five home runs and just 10 strikeouts for a .358 avg. In the field, Shadowens has a fielding percentage of .970 and just five errors.
