Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University soccer secured their first victory of the 2025 season in dominant fashion, 9-0, at East River Soccer Complex on Wednesday.
Jailynn Creek sparked the Big Blue attack early, scoring in the 4th minute and adding a second goal in the final two minutes of the half. Carmen Galante and Yassin Joof each added first-half goals, with Joof striking twice to take the Big Blue into the half with the 5-0 lead.
The Big Blue continued the offensive performance in the second half with Kali Booker adding one in the 74th minute. Jalynn Pace added back-to-back goals with Tru Segal rounding out the scoring after a successful penalty kick.
The Big Blue outshot the Tigers 54-2 with 36 shots on goal. Creek and Pace led the Big Blue with two goals and one assist each with Grace Moore and Lauren Mallinger each recording an assist on the night.
