Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University women's basketball delivered a dominate 102-68 performance against Lincoln (PA). The Big Blue improve to 11-7 overall and 5-4 in CIAA play.
The Big Blue offense was firing on all cylinders from the opening tip, establishing a 25-17 lead after the first. The Big Blue carried that momentum to the half, to take the 45-32 advantage into the locker room. The Big Blue reached another gear in the second half, exploding for 32 points in the final quarter. The Big Blue connected on 16 threes, forced 38 turnovers, and scored 44 points off turnovers. The Big Blue defense collected 25 steals on the night.
Jhakia Gist lead all scorers with 25 points, including seven three-pointers. Jasmine Jenkins added 15 points and four rebounds, while Michelle McGee and Mia Little each contributed 14 points. Little recorded a double-double with a team-high 10 assists. Jayla Sample rounded out the double-digit scored with 11 points and five rebounds.
