Winston-Salem, NC - Bluefield State University women's basketball fell on the road against Winston-Salem State, 81-64. The Big Blue move to 7-6 (1-3 CIAA) on the year.
After taking the early lead, the Rams held the 20-15 advantage after the first. The Rams outscored the Big Blue 18-7 to take the 38-22 lead into the half.
The Big Blue battled in the second half, scoring 17 in the third and exploding for 25 in the final ten minutes but couldn't overcome the deficit.
Jasmine Jenkins led the Big Blue with 17 points, three assists, and two steals. Tianna Rhodes added eight points with Jayla Sample chipping in seven points and four steals.
