Isiah begins his fifth season as Bluefield State men’s basketball assistant coach.
For the 2019-2020 season, Gill joined the staff under the leadership of now Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics, Derrick Price. During his first year at Bluefield State the Big Blue went 13-13 and won their first-round game of the USCAA National Tournament before the tournament was cancelled due the COVID-19 pandemic.
Isiah primarily focuses on player development, creating scouting reports and recruiting future Big Blue student-athletes. Gill’s recruitment area includes West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and into the Midwest.
Prior to starting his coaching career, Gill played two seasons at Davidson County Community College in Thomasville, NC before transferring to Bluefield College (now university) where he played one season. In his collegiate career, Gill scored over 1,000 points, while shooting 45% from beyond the arch.
Gill is also game day operations director for football, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling and acrobatics and tumbling.
