Box Score Salem, N.C.— The Bluefield State Volleyball team continued their winning streak on the road tonight against the Salem College Spirits with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-14) victory in Winston-Salem, NC. The Lady Blues have won their last 9 games in a row, improving their record to 13-4 on the season.

The Lady Blues combined for 41 kills, 10 service aces, and 46 digs compared to the Spirits 21 kills, 0 service aces, and 28 digs.
Offensively, the ball was shared amongst the team, only 2 players did not have an attack attempt. Sophomore Brittney Deveaux led the team with 9 kills on 14 attempts with 1 error for a .571 attack percentage. Junior Sashane Watson and Tyann Thomas both had 8 kills each. Junior Tanasia Blake had 7 kills on 10 attempts with 2 errors for a .500 attack percentage.
Junior Leandrea Armbrister had a solid night with 3 kills on 5 attempts with 0 errors, 7 digs, and 1 service ace. Sophomore Jessie Rehwald led the team with 9 digs and added in 1 service ace. Junior Thais Nogueira-Nunes (pictured) had a good game with 7 digs, 5 service aces, and 2 kills. Sophomore Alee Quint had 33 set assists.
The Lady Blues will take on the Shaw University Bears on Saturday, Oct. 17th at 4:00 p.m. in the Ned. E. Shott Gymnasium on the Bluefield State's campus.
