Raleigh, NC.— The Bluefield State Volleyball team defeated St. Augustine's University 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-22) tonight in Energy Gymnasium in Raleigh, NC. The win tonight brings the Lady Blues winning streak to 13 and an overall record of 17-4 on the season.

The Lady Blues dominated on the offensive side accumulating 40 kills compared to their opponents' 18 kills with both teams having the same amount of attack attempts of 85.

Junior Tyann Thomas had the game high of 12 kills, she also had 4 digs and 1 assist. Sophomore Brittney Deveaux had another good night with 7 kills with 1 error on 10 attempts for a .600 hitting percentage. Junior Sashane Watson (pictured) had 9 kills with 3 errors on 13 attempts for a .462 hitting percentage.

Sophomore Jessie Rehwald had the game high in digs with 13, she also had 4 serving aces and 1 assist. Sophomore Alee Quint had 33 set assists and 6 digs on the night.

The Lady Blues next match is tomorrow, Oct. 24th at Virginia State University at 2:00 p.m. in Ettrick, VA.
