Tigerville, S.C.— The Bluefield State Volleyball team went 1-1 today in a Tri-Match in Tigerville, SC. After today's action, the Lady Blues overall record is 19-6 on the season.

In the first match, the Lady Blues defeated Belmont Abbey College 3-1 (23-25, 25-10, 25-23, 26-24). The Lady Blues compiled for 56 kills, 45 digs, and 8 serving aces while their opponent's had 45 kills, 39 digs, and 5 serving aces.

Senior Sashane Watson led the Lady Blues with 16 kills with 1 error and 24 attempts for a .625 attack percentage, she also had 6 assisted blocks. Junior Tanasia Blake had 10 kills with 1 error on 13 attempts for a .692 attack percentage.

Sophomore Brittney Deveaux had 10 kills and 7 assisted blocks. Junior Tyann Thomas had 11 kills, 8 digs, and 1 solo block. Sophomore Alee Quint accumulated 47 set assists.

Sophomore Jessie Rehwald had 9 digs, 5 servings aces, and 2 set assists. Junior Leandrea Armbrister had 6 digs, 2 serving aces, 2 set assists, and 1 kill. Junior Thais Nogueira-Nunes added 7 digs.

In the second match, it didn't go the Lady Blues way and lost to a tough North Greenville University team 0-3 (17-25, 16-25, 20-25).

North Greenville University accumulated 42 kills, 28 digs, and 4 serving aces compared to the Lady Blues 25 kills, 27 digs, and 3 serving aces.

Junior Tyann Thomas led the team with 6 kills and had 3 digs. Senior Sashane Watson had 5 kills and 1 assisted block. Junior Tanasia Blake and Brittney Deveaux each had 4 kills. Sophomore Brittany Bonamy had 3 kills, 3 digs, and 1 set assist.

Sophomores Jessie Rehwald and Alee Quint had 6 digs each, Quint also had 20 set assists.
