Box Score 2 Elkins, W.Va.— The Lady Blues went 1-1 on Day 2 of the Davis & Elkins Tournament this afternoon in Elkins, W.Va.

Their first match of the day was against Shippensburg University from the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference). They were too much to handle and defeated the Lady Blues in three straight sets: 25-15, 25-17, and 25-19.
The Raiders out hit the Lady Blues with 15 more kills for a total of 41 for the match compared to the Lady Blues 26 kills.
Junior Tyann Thomas led the team with 7 kills but committed 3 attack errors. Sophomore Brittney Deveaux had 5 kills and only 1 attack error.
Sophomore Jessie Rehwald had the team high of 8 digs while Sophomore Alee Quint had 7 digs and 19 set assists.
The Lady Blues also hurt themselves with 7 serving errors and only 1 serving ace.
In the second and last match of the tournament, the Lady Blues looked to end it on a high note, which is exactly what they did. They were down 0-2, but came back and defeated UVA-Wise 13-25, 15-25, 25-13, 25-22, and 15-8.

The Lady Blues piled up a total of 59 kills during the 5 set victory compared to their opponents' 49 kills. The Lady Blues also had an advantage when they served the ball by having 13 aces while the Raiders had 7 aces.
Junior Tyann Thomas had the team high and career high 21 kills and added 14 digs. Senior Sashane Watson and Sophomore Brittany Bonamy each had 11 kills. Junior Tanasia Blake and Sophomore Brittney Deveaux added 8 kills.
Sophomore setter Alee Quint had a career high 51 set assists. She also had 13 digs and 3 serving aces. Sophomore Jessie Rehwald had the majority of the other digs with 13.
The Lady Blues next match will be Sept. 19th at the University of Pikeville Tri-Match in Pikeville, KY. They will play the University of Pikeville at 12 pm and Johnson University (TN) at 2 pm.
