Big Blues Cruise in First Spring Break Win

Columbia, SC- The Men's Tennis team started their Spring Break with a win against Benedict College in Columbia, SC by a final score of 7-0.

The Big Blues started out with 2 victories due to two match forfeits by Benedict. The toughest doubles match of the day was with Jacob and Aziz in doubles #1. They were pushed to the limit but won 9-7. On the singles side the Lorenzo was in a very tough match but it was halted after he won the first set when BSC clinched the overall match.

The Big Blues move on to Florida for the rest of week facing tough competition including multiple nationally ranked opponents. Check back on the website for updates on scores throughout the week.

Carey/Yuldashev (BSC) def. Pinkney/Eloise (BC): 9-7

Rudenco/Gud (BSC) def. Payton/Hernandez: 8-1

Braem/Pulido (BSC) wins by forfeit

Singles:

Braem (BSC) def. Eloise (BC): 6-1, 6-2

Rudenco (BSC) def. Pinkney (BC): 6-2, 6-1

Pulido (BSC) vs Hernandez: 6-2- unfinished as BSC clinched the overall match

Panariti (BSC) vs Payton (BC): 6-2- unfinished as BSC clinched the overall match

Lopez (BSC) def. Selmen (BC): 6-1, 6-0

Gud (BSC) wins by forfeit
