Soccer Falls On The Road To Newberry, 3-0

NEWBERRY, SC - The Bluefield State Soccer team (4-7-0) fell to Newberry College Monday afternoon at Smith Road Complex, 3-0.

"Today was a great day of learning and applying ourselves to the game," said Head coach Scott Forster.

Jacqueline Aldrete gave the Wolves their first goal at the 7-minute mark assisted by Julia and Jaidyn Jacobs. Allyna Gonzalez scored at the 32-minute mark putting the Wolves up, 2-0 in the first half.

Ariana Paez finished it off for her team giving them their last goal at the 65-minute mark unassisted. 

Noemi Christ had 11 saves off of 14 shots on goal. The Big Blue were outshot 26-9. 

"I'm proud of the efforts and energy despite the loss, we'll be back stronger because of today's competition," said coach Forster.

The Big Blue will host to Roberts Wesleyan Monday, October 25 at East River Soccer Complex. The first touch is scheduled for noon.
