BLUEFIELD - The Bluefield State Volleyball team (9-11) dropped their final home game Sunday afternoon to Emory & Henry (15-11) in Ned E. Shott Gym, 3-0.
The Big Blue will be back in action Thursday when they take on Carlow University at the USCAA Championships. The first serve is set for 11:00 a.m. Later that afternoon the Big Blue will then take on Bay Path College at 3:00 p.m.
"We saw a lot of good things today from our kids. Unfortunately, we didn't overcome the mental hurdles that we needed to beat this team," said Head Coach
Savanna Hammond.
The Wasps took all three sets, 25-22, 25-17, and 25-22.
Kate Dashevska led the Big Blue with 14 kills.
Taylor Sams led in digs with nine. Right behind Sam's was
Dajah Farmer with eight digs.
Anna Esquivel had seven digs for the Big Blue as well.
"We are looking forward to this coming weekend in Virginia Beach," said coach Hammond.
