Huntington, West Virginia — The Bluefield State women's basketball team dropped their exhibition game to Tuesday evening in Cam Henderson Center against Marshall University, 45-108.
Redshirt Freshman forward
Londen Coleman and
Ashlie Louden led the Big Blue with 10 points,
Alexus Tucker and
Azariah Binford added eight. Bluefield State shot 30.4 percent from the field (14 of 47), while Marshall University shot 56.8 percent (42 of 74).
"This loss left a sour taste in my mouth. Anytime you have 30 unforced turnovers there's an internal problem," said head coach
Paul Davis.
"I have to do a better job preparing my team. We have to get stronger, bigger, faster, and play smarter."
The women will travel to Edinboro, Pennsylvania for a Friday afternoon game against Edinboro University. The Big Blue and The Fighting Scot's are scheduled for the first tip at 1 p.m. in McComb Fieldhouse.
