Salem, WV – Bluefield State Volleyball took down Salem University 3-0 on Tuesday. 
After back-to-back kills from Kaylee Winchell to open the first set, the Tigers scored four consecutive to take the 4-2 lead. The score would be tied eight times before the Big Blue would score three in a row to pull away from the Tigers. The Big Blue closed out the set with a kill by Winchell, an error from the Tigers and a kill from Kateryna Dashevska to take set one 25-16. 
The Big Blue jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in set two: an ace and kill from Veronica Butler and a kill from Lindsey Neal. The Big Blue built a big lead (13-4) before the Tigers scored eight in a row to pull within one. The Big Blue took set two 25-20 after three kills from Allyson Martin, BriShaela McHaney and Dashevska. 
The Big Blue went on a 10-1 scoring run to start the third set. After the Tigers scored back-to-back late in the set, the Big Blue secured the set 25-9 and the victory over Salem University.
