WISE, Virginia -- Bluefield State fell to The University of Virginia's College at Wise, 15-0 in five innings on Wednesday afternoon at Cavalier Field.
Game 1:
UVA-Wise hit one home run in the game.Â
The Big Blue managed just one hit in the game, one double to center field from Hannah Crawford.
Freshman Kylie Salzar (0-1) took the loss for Bluefield State. She gave up thirteen runs  -- on seven hits in 2.0 inning of work.
Kennedy James pitched two innings and allowed two runs on three hits.Â
The Cavaliers hung a six-spot in the bottom of the first inning a solo homer and several Sacrifice flies. They added six more in the second and three more in the third to make it 15-0.Â
Game 2:Â
The Big Blue closed out Wednesday with an 11-2 loss in game 2 of the doubleheader.
The Cavaliers hung four in the bottom of the first inning. Kaylee Jones reached on a fielding error and Sydney Collins doubled to left field for three RBI.Â
Michaela Barney had a homer adding two in the bottom of the second. They added four more in the third and the final score for the Cavaliers was in the bottom of the fourth.Â
The Big Blue tried to fight back in the top of the fifth. With the bases loaded,
Madison Thompson walked and RBI
Kailey Sarver to give the Big Blue their first point of the season.Â

Bluefield State dropped to 0-2, Â with the loss the Cavaliers improved to 4-0. The two teams will meet again for a doubleheader on Friday, March 4 beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST.
