ELON, North Carolina  -- The Big Blue women's tennis team dropped to Elon University at Jimmy Powell tennis center.

Match 1: 

The Phenox swept the Big Blue in doubles play. Shreya Chakrabarly and Juliana Jimenez dropped to Sibel Tanik and Lizette Reding, (6-0). 

The Phenox Olivia Archer and Sarah Allen defeated Ghita Courdi and Virginia Zanotti fell on court 2, (6-2). Paula Saez and Virginia Zanotti fell to Victoria Saldh and Julie Ball, (6-0).

In singles play, Shreya Chakrabarly dropped the number one spot (6-0), (6-4) against Sibel Tanik. 

Ghita Courdi fell to Shauna Galvin in the number five spot, (6-1, 6-1). Juliana Jimenez dropped the number three spot to Julie Ball, (6-0, 6-2).

 Virginia Zanotti fell in the number two spot (6-2), (6-0) against Victoria Saldh. 

Match 2:

The Big Blue women's tennis team finished off the day with a 5-0 loss to the Phenox. 

Virginia Zanotti dropped in the number one spot against Sibel Tanik, (6-0, 6-1). Juliana Jimenez won game 1 in an unfinished match (6-5), against Victoria Saldh. 

Ghita Courdi fell in the number three spot to Olivia Archer, (6-0, 6-1). Paula Saez dropped the number four spot against Julie Ball, (6-0, 6-1).
