BLUEFIELD -- The Big Blue women's tennis team topped Salem University at Lotito City Park Monday afternoon, 6-1.
The Big Blue swept the Tigers in doubles play. Shreya Chakrabarly and Juliana Jimenez got the win on court 1, (6-2).
Paula Saez and Virginia Zanotti defeated Chloe Owens and Miriam Buendia on court two, (6-1).
In singles play, Virginia Zanotti fell in the number two spot (6-1, 6-) against Anastasia Gerter. Shreya Chakrabarly rolled past Ana Kunic in the numnber one spot (6-0, 6-1).
Juliana Jimenez defeated Miriam Buendia in the number five spot, (6-0, 6-0). Ghita Courdi clinched the win in the number four spot over Chloe Owens, (6,0, 6-0).
