Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University Soccer dominated against Allen University 7-1 on Sunday.
The Big Blue quickly got on the board with a goal from Ava Jakich-Kunze in the 13th minute followed by another goal in the 19th minute from Carmen Galante, assisted by Jakich-Kunze.
Allen pulled within one with a goal in 37th minute, butt Alixe Van Craenebroeck found the back of the net, assisted by Kira Zoeller in the 42nd minute, to take the 3-1 lead into the half.
The Big Blue quickly went to work with a goal from Birta Ósk Sigurjónsdóttir, eight seconds into the second half. Marlena Meyer extended the Big Blue lead with a goal of her own in the 51st minute.
Ósk Sigurjónsdóttir had her second goal of the afternoon in the 60th minute and then secured the Hat Trick with the final goal of the match in the 87th minute.
"Coming into today the team had some new energy and positivity. It's always good to get a win but to get a win where so many players are involved in the action, it's a credit to the whole squad" said head coach Scott Forster.
