Five Big Blue Score Double Digits Against VUL

Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University men's basketball scored a season high in a109-86 victory over Virginia University of Lynchburg.

J. Caleb Slawinski started the scoring with back-to-back layups to take the early lead. A three by Nduka Ogwu extended the Big Blue lead 30-15 midway through the half. The Dragons pulled within one of the Big Blue at the 3:14 mark. The Big Blue closed out the first half outscoring the Dragons 12-5 to take the 56-48 advantage into the half.

A steal taken the other way for a dunk by Clay Baldwin built the Big Blue lead to 17 with seven minutes left to play. The Big Blue built their largest lead of the night (28) after Rylan Bowens found Chase Page for the corner three at the 3:16 mark. A trip to the line for Chance James would round out the scoring for the Big Blue to secure the 109-86 win over the Dragons.

Clay Baldwin led the scoring for the Big Blue with 21 points followed by Chase Page with 18 points and nine rebounds. J. Caleb Slawinski and Nduka Ogwu both came away with 16 apiece with O'montae Daniels adding 10.
