Slippery Rock, PA - Bluefield State University baseball Jordan Varela-Payne and Tahir Meulens named to National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) All-Atlantic Region Teams.

Senior outfielder Jordan Varela-Payne was named to the second team, with Tahir Meulens named an honorable mention selection.

Varela-Payne, from Raleigh, North Carolina, finished his final season with a .367 avg. This included 66 hits, 52 runs with 13 doubles, five triples, a team high of 12 home runs, and 43 RBIs.

The Big Blue lead off for most of the season Tahir Meulens, from Curacao, led the team with a .396 avg and 74 hits. Meulens collected 21 doubles, two triples, seven homeruns and 39 RBIs.
