The Big Blue began to rally back when Carmen Galante netted a goal in the 55th minute to get the Big Blue on the board.
In the 64th minute, Galante found Ava Jakich-Kunze to pull the Big Blue within one of the Wasps, but after a lightening delay, the Big Blue fell short to Emory & Henry 3-2.
"While it's not ideal to wait until your down 3-0, it's a credit to this teams spirit and believe to battle back to 3-2 in only 14 minutes," said head coach Scott Forster. "With a third of the half still to play we felt we had the momentum to go on to get something from the game but lightening came and really halted our energy. We're excited to host Emory & Henry in Bluefield soon."
