Bluefield, VA – Women's golf participated in the Fincastle Intercollegiate hosted by Bluefield University at Fincastle Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.
On the opening day of the invitational, Lorelei Oomens from Huntley, Illinois, found herself trailing the individual leader by two strokes with an 83. Oomens bounced back on day two, firing a 76, taking the individual title.
Sophomore Mayte Servin Ortiz from Mexico opened with an 87 and was tied for fourth. After a great second round of 78, Servin Ortiz took home the second-place trophy.
Sophomore Nadia Seymore from Shaker Heights, Ohio, rounded out the women's golf team with rounds of 102 and 106 for a 21st place finish.
