Lincoln, PA – Bluefield State University volleyball secured their first CIAA victory over Lincoln University 3-0 on Monday.
The Big Blue started out strong securing a 25-12 set one win over the Lions. The Big Blue carried that momentum to take set two 25-22 and secured the victory in the third set 25-18.
"Yesterday's match is big for us as a program, but not just because of the outcome. Some of these kids have been preparing for this moment for years. Being in the CIAA has and will continue to open so many doors for our student-athletes. We are so blessed!" said head coach Savanna Hammond. "Defense was urgent and aggressive with pursing the balls in the back row. This allowed us to stay in system more and maintain as an offensive threat throughout the match."
