Winter Park, FL – Bluefield State University volleyball went 0-4 in the Rollins College Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Game One: In the opening match, the Big Blue fell to Tusculum 25-15, 25-11, and 25-16. Allyson Martin led with seven kills, while Kateryna Dashevska contributed 18 assists, and Veronica Butler led with 13 digs.
Game Two: The Big Blue dropped the second game against Auburn University Montgomery (Ala.) 25-18, 25-13, and 25-11. Dashevska led all players with 21 assists. Both BriShaela McHaney and Jannice Lynch added five kills, and Dashevska and Martin recorded seven digs each.
Game Three: In the first matchup of day two, the Big Blue were bested by Florida Tech, falling 25-22, 25-16, and 25-16. Dashevska led the Big Blue with 16 assists, six kills, and two aces. Imani Stokes added six blocks, and Butler achieved a season-high of 19 digs.
Game Four: The Big Blue looked to bounce back against host Rollins College but fell short 25-7, 18-25, 25-12, and 25-16. Dashevska had 21 assists and five kills, with Karlee Rae Hill adding 10 digs, Jordyn Duncan contributing two aces, and Caely Banger recording one block.
