Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University football fell to Virginia State on Saturday, 45-6.
The Trojans got on the board first with a field goal in the first quarter and a touchdown to open the second.
Going into the final minutes of the first half down 31-0, Christian Solino executed a 56-yard nine play drive ending with Solino finding Reginald Hairston in the end zone for his first collegiate touchdown.
The Big Blue defense held the Trojans to 14 points in the second half led by Marcus Young Jr with 11 tackles (9 solo) and Reggie Troutman adding 9 solo tackles.
