Big Blue Picked 6th in Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll

Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University women's wrestling has been picked sixth in the 2025–26 Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll.

Defending champions King University were selected first after receiving six first-place votes. Mount Olive and Emmanuel tied for second, followed by Allen, Emory & Henry, and Bluefield State. Newberry and Lincoln Memorial rounded out the poll.

Three Big Blue standouts were highlighted as wrestlers to watch: Survavive Roberson, Caitlynn Ash, and Charniece McClarence.

Roberson, a JUCO All-American for Indian Hills before coming to Bluefield State, claimed a title at the Tiffin Open last season and looks to build on that success after missing the postseason due to injury.

Ash led the Big Blue in wins during the 2024–25 campaign and was a regional place-winner in 2024. During the regular season, she captured first place at the Southern Virginia Open.

McClarence competed regularly during her redshirt season and will look to make an impact at 160 pounds with her strength and physicality.
