Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University men's basketball took down Shaw 93-78 to improve to 2-8 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
The Big Blue set the tone early, building a 21 point lead midway through the half after a Sila Tako tip-in. The Bears cut the Big Blue lead to seven going into the half.
The Big Blue maintained control after halftime with key defensive stops to stretch the Big Blue lead into double digits midway through the half to secure the 93-78 victory.
Ellija Preddy led the Big Blue with 21 points and 11 assists followed by Myles Pierre with 20 points. Warren Mouganda finished the night with 18 with Anthony Davenport adding 12. Anthony Latty secured the double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
