Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University men's basketball fell in overtime to Glenville State 82-78 on Saturday. The Big Blue move to 3-8 (2-1 CIAA).
The Pioneers jumped out to an early lead, taking the 47-28 advantage into halftime. The Big Blue clawed back in the second half with a massive comeback by outscoring the Pioneers 42-23 to force overtime. Despite the momentum, the Big Blue was outpaced 12-8 in the extra period.
The contest feature five ties and four lead changes, with the Pioneers outrebounding the Big Blue 43-40.
Myles Pierre led the way with 24 points and nine rebounds. Ellija Preddy added 16 points, while Warren Mouganda and Anthony Davenport each chipped in 13 points.
