The Big Blue wrestling teams completed their seasons, competing at Emmanuel University in Georgia and Tiffin University in Ohio on consecutive weekends. On Saturday, February 22nd, the women traveled to Region Three to attempt to qualify for the national tournament. Winning matches for the Big Blue were Paige Altizer, Caitlynn Ash, Ibtasam "Sami" Saleh, and Hannah Mae Catungal.

On Saturday, March 1st the men's team travelled to Ohio to compete in Super Region One. The Big Blue had two wrestlers make the podium for the first time, with Enrique Sanchez placing at 149 lbs. and freshman Thomas Dolo placing at 174 lbs. Also winning matches for Bstate were Greg Dennard and freshman Ryder Rhodes.

Coach Gardner's thoughts: "The women had a solid year. They were tough, wrestled hard, and showed some improvement over the course of the year. With the transition in the program, it would have been easy for them to pack it in, but they didn't. They came to work every morning and strove to improve. I'm lucky I had the chance to work with them. There's a solid, experienced core to build around going forward."

"We did significantly better this year all season. We won zero matches at the Super Region last year, so to come away with two-place winners is positive. But we aren't satisfied or happy with that result. We have higher expectations, so there's some disappointment with how things finished this year. But, there's a solid foundation established. We'll return 5 guys with 20 or more wins, and we'll be getting some guys back from injuries. So even though we are hurting a little today, we are seeing the progress we are expecting and feel good about the direction of the program."
