Bluefield, WV – Bluefield State University Athletics has announced its 2025 football schedule, featuring six home games at Mitchell Stadium. From Homecoming and High School Day to Senior Day, the Big Blue are set to deliver an exciting fall filled with pride and tradition.
The season opens on Friday, August 30, as the Big Blue hosts Tusculum University in the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Game, recognizing the dedication of the University's employees. The following Saturday, September 6, brings cross town rival Concord University to Mitchell Stadium in the Code Blue Game.
After a road test at Wingate University on September 13, the Big Blue will return to action on September 27 at Johnson C. Smith University.
October kicks off with three consecutive home games, beginning with Homecoming on October 4 against Shaw University. On October 11, Bluefield State welcomes Lincoln University (PA) for High School Day. The homestand wraps up with a matchup versus Bowie State on October 18, as the team supports Breast Cancer Awareness with a Pink Out.
The Big Blue head to Virginia State on October 25, then close out their home slate on November 1st against Virginia Union in a special Senior Day and Veteran Appreciation Game. The regular season concludes on November 8 with a road trip to Elizabeth City State.
