Bluefield, WV - Bluefield State University Golden Blaze Dance Company and the Beautiful Blue have extended the deadline to submit auditions until Friday, August 1st.

To be eligible, you must:
- Be a current or incoming full-time BSU student
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA (high school or college)
- Demonstrate strong technique, performance quality, and showmanship
- Exhibit a positive attitude, strong time management, and commitment to team values
- Be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University

Beautiful Blue Cheer Team
To be considered, candidates must submit a video demonstrating a range of performance elements, including:
- Mastery of at least two partner or group stunts, such as Lib, Heel Stretch, or Arabesque.
- Tumbling skills, with back handspring preferred
- A Traditional Cheer performance
- A Stomp & Shake cheer or dance performance
- A demonstration of jumps, highlighting height, technique, and form
In addition to performance, applicants should exhibit excellent physical condition, confidence, a team-oriented attitude, and a minimum 2.0 GPA to ensure strong academic standing.
Video submissions are now open and will be accepted through
August 1st, 2025. Selected cheerleaders may also qualify for institutional scholarships.
